Ever since I was young I have always enjoyed sport and being active. As with most people, life now and then got in the way of exercise -€“ university, first job, kids! Looking back I’€™ve realised I always felt better when I was exercising.

Whilst I had a passion for exercise, I chose a different career path to begin with. After studying Law at Kings College London, I began a career in Compliance in London working for Deloitte before moving on to a variety of roles at different companies. One of the things I enjoyed about Compliance was helping people and problem solving - this is also what I love about personal training.

I have tried my hand at a few different sports along the way, but it was after my first year of working in London that I found the sport that I was going to love -€“ rowing. I joined Thames Rowing Club in London as a novice and spent a few years training and racing with them. We had many successes and even won The PriceWaterHouse Coopers Cup at Henley Women’€™s Regatta in 2005.  

Since hanging up my rowing lycra, I’€™ve enjoyed running, triathlons, duathlons, the three-peak challenge! I even gave rugby a go. I lasted two training sessions -€“ looking back I probably shouldn’€™t have started training with London Wasps women’€™s club!

Exercise these days mostly consists of what I can fit in with two young daughters at home. This means I need to be creative and if I can get my girls involved even better.

I started Jacqui Jackson Fitness because I wanted to help people feel good about themselves and find a way to enjoy exercise. You don’t need lots of technical, expensive equipment - you just need an open mind and a pair of trainers. 

It might not be an easy journey but it should definitely be an enjoyable one.
